Glaci3r collects the following data when you create an account: your email address, your chosen handle, and a hashed password. When you use the platform, we collect topic inputs, generated curriculum data, lesson progress, and learning session results (including gate responses and pass/fail verdicts).
Your authentication data (handle, email, hashed password) is stored on the Glaci3r Personal Data Server (PDS) powered by the AT Protocol. Your curriculum data, lesson content, and learning sessions are stored in Supabase (a PostgreSQL-based backend). Authentication tokens (JWT) are stored as cookies in your browser. We do not store passwords in plain text — all passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage.
We use your data to: provide and improve the learning experience, generate personalized curricula, track your learning progress and streaks, and prevent abuse through content moderation. We use OpenAI's API for curriculum generation and content moderation — topic inputs are sent to OpenAI for processing.
You have the right to: access your personal data, request deletion of your account and associated data, export your curriculum and learning progress, and object to certain processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the platform. Account deletion will remove your data from both the PDS and Supabase.
Glaci3r operates a Personal Data Server (PDS) within the AT Protocol framework. Your identity (DID and handle) is managed through this PDS. In the future, you may be able to migrate your identity to another PDS provider, consistent with AT Protocol's decentralized design principles.
We use the following third-party services: OpenAI (for AI curriculum generation and content moderation), Supabase (for data storage), and Vercel (for hosting). Each service has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data.
